Getting Composite, S-Video, VGA and DVI onto Fiber in the OR

Legacy surgical video sources still need long, interference-free runs to the displays and recorders in a modern operating room.

Two common approaches: multi-input wall-plate transmitters that accept several formats, or a scaler plus a fiber extender. Choose multimode or single-mode fiber to match the distance, and plan SC or LC connectors to match your equipment.

Also watch for DVI vs. HDMI outputs at the display end, and for aspect-ratio and scaling surprises when older sources meet modern monitors.
